How You Began

Designed to give children and young adolescents an appreciation for the wondrous story of the preborn child.  Through prenatal photography, video clips, and month by month detail, viewers are given a picture of the beauty and humanity of the child as she develops from conception through to birth.  This presentation is a perfect step towards valuing life for the younger ages.

The Compassionate Choice?

Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide are increasingly seen as personal, compassionate “choices” by many in our society.  However, changing our definition of “care” to include ending a life poses grave threat to individuals and to our society as a whole.  This presentation will navigate the very tangible repercussions of accepting euthanasia and assisted suicide and focus on the true meaning of compassion, as well as the importance of care that seeks to end suffering, not life.

The Hope, Hype and Harm of Stem Cell and Genetic Research

Adult stem cell research continues to yield astounding and promising results.  Why then, do popular science, the media, and governments alike pour hope and resources into the less successful embryonic stem cell (ESC) research, to the neglect of adult stem cell development?  A closer look reveals a more serious problem: the destruction of human life in the name of scientific “advancement” in embryonic stem cell research and other types of genetic experimentation.

Abortion: The Rest of the Story…

Abortion is either an ethically neutral procedure, or it takes a human life.  Which is it?  This presentation looks the issue squarely in the eye, and using reason, logic and empirical evidence, steers through the many myths and misconceptions that surround it.  Our in-depth analysis of the abortion debate arms listeners with vital information on the broad consequences of abortion and encourages them to be advocates for life-affirming, compassionate solutions that uphold universal justice and human rights.

Miracle or Tragedy?  A look at the Cost of Reproductive Technologies

Current reproductive technologies are analyzed and compared on the basis of their ethical implications, personal risks and societal costs.  The audience is given a clear understanding of the nature of the IVF procedure, which involves the destruction of multiple human embryos for every achieved birth.  They also learn of other ethically sound reproductive strategies developed in recent years that have produced favourable results.

The First and Greatest Human Right

The right to life as the supreme human right for all, regardless of age, size, or condition, is emphasized in this presentation.  A positive philosophy which upholds the right to life is woven throughout an overview of the life issues, touching upon abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, and certain reproductive technologies to reveal the common thread of disregard for the value and dignity of life inherent to each practice.
